After the 2022 race, the World Athletics website had a special report about the Brasov Running Festival entitled “Fast 10km times from Kipkorir and Chepkirui as records falls in Brasov”.
We were proud to be able to bring Brasov into the lights of the world athletics scene!
Here's what the report said:
“Nicholas Kipkorir Kimeli ran a top three under- 27:00, while Sheila Chepkirui came close to the women-only world record, both set Romanian records of all comers at the Brașov Running Festival 10 km, a World Athletics Elite Label road race, Sunday (25)”
